because they are very heavy nd wheels don't hve that much capacity tu hold the weight of tanks.

same reason that the agricultural and construction tractors, which the first tanks were developed from, used tracks rather than wheels: mobility in challenging terrain. The ground-pressure of a tracked system is so vastly more distributed than a wheeled system, that a tracked vehicle can get across soft turf, mud, and crumbly soil that would bog down any vehicle with wheels, no matter how big or well-designed.
