and they cannot see in the dark therefore they use ultrasound to catch the insects

An Italian scientist coverd various parts of bat like his eyes nose ears one by one and allowed them to fly he found that they collided with the things coming between their way even though their eyes were open they had no use of it
he thus discovered that the ability to fly depends upon the ears of the bats and not the eyes
