Electovalent bond is also known as ionic and polar bond:

Chemical bond formed by the electrostatic attraction between two oppositely charged ions is called an electrovalent bond. Ions are formed due to complete transfer of electron from an electropositive atom to an electronegative atom. This bond is also called ionic bond. Ionic bond, also called electrovalent bond, type of linkage formed from the electrostatic attraction between oppositely charged ions in a chemical compound. Such a bond forms when the valence (outermost) electrons of one atom are transferred permanently to another atom.

Answer:

In simpler words, an ionic bond is the transfer of electrons from a metal to a non-metal in order to obtain a full valence shell for both atoms. ... Bonds with partially ionic and partially covalent character are called polar covalent bonds.
