Correct Question:-

Why Fe+O2➡2FeO is an unbalanced equation?Explain

SOLUTION:-

Given Equation

\\ \sf{:}\longrightarrow Fe+O_2\longrightarrow  2FeO

At Reactant side:-

  • Fe=1atom
  • O2=2atoms

Total:-

\\ \sf{:}\longrightarrow Fe+O_2=1+2=3atoms

At Products side:-

  • Fe=1atom
  • O=1atom

Total

\\ \sf{:}\longrightarrow 2FeO=2(1+1)=2(2)=4atoms

Comparing both

\\ \sf{:}\longrightarrow 3\neq 4

Hence its an unbalanced equation.

Balanced Equation for Above:-

\boxed{\sf 2Fe+O_2=2Fe0}
