The filter paper cannot be used to separate colloids because the particles of colloids are very very small. Hence, the solute particles of colloids passes through the filter paper.
- A colloids is a heterogeneous mixture whose particles are bigger than solution but then also it cannot be seen through our naked eyes
- It's particles can be observed through a powerful microscope.
- It scatters the beam of light passing through it.
