the flash is seen first as u may know that light is faster than sound and thus when there is thunder so see the light first bcuz it travels fastest than sound and light is the fastest, thus the sound comes after a while bcuz it is slower than lighting and lighting can be seen from far as it travels the fastest but sound can only be heard where the thunder is.
