He2 molecule does not exist since the molecular orbital theory states that bond order of a element is given by Nb-Na/2 in He2 the 4 electron are accomadated in sigma 1s and sigma star 1s therefore Nb - Na =0 since bond order cannot be zero therefore it does not exist

Whereas in case of H2 molecules enter in sigma 1s orbital therefore bond order is 1.
