Explain why:
i) Ammonia is highly soluble in water
ii) H2O is liquid where as H2S is gas.​

Answer:

a) ammonia is NH3 due to the long pair at the nitrogen the lone pair in Oxygen from the H2o are attracted forming hydrogen bonds concequently being soluble in water

b)

water is liquid becoz of its ability to form hydrogen bonds which is possible only in case of f,o,n becoz of their high electronegativity which in case ofH2S there is no hydrogen bonds formation
