Explain why ionic compounds conduct electricity in molten or dissolved state and not in the solid state.

because in a solid state the movement of iron is restricted because the ions are held together in 6 positions by strong electrostatic force and cannot move freely the cyclic compounds conduct electricity in molten state or solution but the storage state they do not conduct electricity.
