Explain why iron fillings which are sprinkled on a sheet of cardboard over a bar magnet ,take up a definite pattern when cardboard is slightly tapped .

this is because bar magnet has a magnetic field...that is already established in the cardboard n dat gives the shape of it..whn iron fillings are sprinkled

When we sprinkled the iron filling over magnet it and start to take a definite shape it goes continues becoz magnetic field line is producing by the magnet which is a imaginary line attract the iron filling when this line pass throughout the ironfilling it takes place thats y it is having definite pattern
