Explain why is it difficult to burn a wet peice of wood? and what is solar constant?

It is difficult to burn a wet piece of wood because water present in it, keeps the temperature of wood below its ignition temperature..
and as we know, for a substance to catch fire..it is needed to heat it to its ignition temperature.
So, it is difficult to burn a wet piece of wood.

It is difficult tO burn a wet piece of wood because the water present of thE wet piece of wood absorbs the heat which is supplied to burn the wood thus, prevents wood from bUrning easily.
