Explain why is sodium less reactive than potassium?

1.In pottasium the outermostvelectron os better shielded from the attractive force of the nucleus ,hence it can b easily converted to its ionic form as it loses its electrons more better than sodium
2.In alkali metal group the atomic size increases and the effective neuclear charge decreases so the valence electrons can b easily lost as compared to sodium

Explanation: Because the atomic size of sodium is smaller than potassium. Hence sodium has more greater electrostatic force of attraction between its electron and nucleus. So it less readily loses electron than potassium
