Compost is formed when dead organic matter is decomposed. Therefore, there are no harmful chemicals which can harm the human body
Chemical fertilizers however, use artificial means to fertilize the soil. The synthetics present in them is very harmful to humans if consumed.
Hence, compost should be used instead os chemical fertilizers.
