Carbon monoxide (CO) is dangerous to our body when we inhale air which contains carbon monoxide, it displaces oxygen in the blood and deprives the heart, brain, and other vital organs of oxygen. Carbon monoxide combines with haemoglobin and forms carboxyhemoglobin by replacing the oxygen. This reduces the oxygen carrying capacity of the blood.

A person may die due to oxygen starvation, also it is dangerous to inhale carbon monoxide.

Answer:

it is dangerous to inhale carbon monoxide as it combined with haemoglobin in the body to form carbo haemoglobin which is more stable than compound of oxygen +haemoglobin . So haemoglobin reacts with CO and this causes shortage of oxehaemoglobin in the body which can cause death of a person if . A person is in atmosphere containing large amount of carbon monoxide .
