Explain why,it is easier to drag a matter on floor when nobody is sitting on it but more difficult to drag the same material when a person is sitting on it

we drag a matter when no one sitting on it much easily then matter on which someone is sitting because matter alone has less mass and hence less capability to oppose our force but someone sitting makes it heavier and it have the tendency to oppose our force
