Because of its mass because according Newton's second law of motion the more the mass the harder to stop it by using external force.

it is easy to stop a tennis ball in comparison to the cricket ball moving with the same velocity it is different into Momentum as P is equal to mass *velocity the velocity of the bowl was the same but Masses were different the cricket ball is much heavier than a tennis ball so it has difficulty to stop and it is easier to stop a tennis ball than a cricket ball movie with the same speed as the Tennis bowl much lighter in weight in comparison to the cricket ball
