explain why it is so dark at the bottom of the ocean even though water is transparent

because the light doesn't reach the bottom so that's why it is so dark in bottom of ocean

Because a thin layer of water is transparent but as more water is added it becomes translucent and does not allow light to reach the bottom of the ocean
