The kinetic friction is usually not greater than the applied force. You start moving an object which increases the static force to prevent any motion. However, you keep applying more force until you reach a maximum value for the static friction

Hii
The
kinetic friction is less than static friction because kinetic friction is  not greater than the applied force. When we start moving an object which increases the static force to prevent any motion. However, we keep applying more force until you reach a maximum value for the static frictionThen, the object begins to move.
