Explain why of the following is important for maintaining the ecosystem in a rainforest a) trees b)sun

i guess it is sun and then trees. in a rainforest trees could grow well with enough of water but, sun is also a main factor there. so to maintain the ecosystem sun and trees are required.

these two factors are important in maintaining ecosystem because for trees to maintain balance between oxygen and carbon dioxide it has to survive, and for its survival he requires sun as with the help of sunlight he can prepare food for itself.
