Answer:- A peel is removed by the by twisting and hearing of leaf or scrapping its lower surface. In both the cases only a turgid leaf can be handled properly. In a wilted or flaccid leaf, a lot of mesophyll remains attached to the surface layer or peel. In a turgid leaf, the compact epidermis is easily separable from loose mesophyll.
