osmosis is a special kind of diffusion because , the water molecules are moving from High concentration to a Low concentration,and also diffusion doesn’t needs partially permeable membrane which osmosis do needs.

Ahoy,
Osmosis is basically a type of diffusion the only difference is that it occurs through a semi permeable membrane. Just like diffusion whcib is the process of moving of substances like gases from a place of higher concentration to lower concentration to make it balance , Osmosis too is the process of movement of substances like water from higher concentration to lower concentration through a semi permeable membrane.
