When the passengers are sitting in a bus, Their body is moving with the bus . when the bus abruptly stops, Their feet stop relative to the bus however the upper part of the body still possesses the inertia of motion, hence as it is the tendency to not change the state of motion, the body tends to fall forwards due to this inertial force
