Explain why planets do not twinkle but stars twinkle

Bcoz planet hv not there own light
and stars hv

planets appear bigger than stars as they are closer to us than the stars, thus they appear like a collection of stars(which appears as dots).
when some dots (of the planet)twinkles, others do not and this nullifies the effect
so planets doent twinkle
