Pollination is transfer of pollen grains from one flower to another.

It is important because it leads to the production of fruits we can eat, and seeds that will create more plants.

Overall, it helps in growing more and more plants which is helpful for flora of that particular region.

Why Pollination is important to plants ?

\underline{\underline{\textbf{Pollination :}}} is the transfer of pollen grains from female part of a plant to male part of a plant...

It is important in plants because of it's seeds and fruits formed in plants...

If male gamate don't reach the female gamate (egg) then fertilization don't takes place. And this type of fertilization in plants is known as Syngamy...

That's why pollination is important in plants.

It is of two types...

1) Self pollination... when pollination occurs in same plants.

2) Cross pollination.... when pollination occurs in different plants but of same species.
