Explain why potassium peroxide is thermally much less stable than Caesium peroxide.

Generally​ oxide are more stable than peroxide. But for some elements their peroxide are more stable than oxide. It is especially for larger cations ( alkali and alkaline earth metals such as Mg ,Na ,K ) because of FAJANS RULE . it is because of FAJANS RULE that superoxide are most stable for some elements compared to oxide and peroxide ( Rb ).
