Explain why rusting of iron object is faster in coastal area than desert?

Rusting of iron object is faster in coastal areas than that of deserts because near coastal belts there is a lot of moisture(water content) which reacts with oxygen present in the air and forms ferrace oxide or iron oxide. (water+oxygen:-iron oxide)
