Explain why sauspan handle and electric plugs are made of thermosetting pladtic

here's ur answer...

there are mainly two types of plastic. one is THERMO plastic and the another one is THERMOSETTING plastic.

their difference is that thermoplastics can be remoulded and they melt easily whereas thermosetting plastic can't be remoulded and they don't melt.

because of this property, thermosetting plastic is used for electric plugs and saucepan handle.

if saucepan handles are made up of thermoplastics, then they will melt very quickly while cooking. and there will be no use of it. thermosetting plastic don't melt. so it will be easy to cook food and we know that plastics are bad conductors of heat and electricity. we can take by hand very easily.

electric plugs are also made up of thermosetting plastic because of the same reason. when electric current passes through it, it produces heat.. that's why thermosetting plastic are used.
