a solution could be said when two mixtures are solutions combined together homogenously and can't be separated by simple physical method.

salt water mixture is considered as mixture because they can be separated easily by boiling

in which the water evaporates up and salt is left behind on the container which is heated

sodium chloride itself is pure because it does not contain any other impurity solution or impure mixture within it
