Sodium is less reactive than potassium.
In the reactivity series of metal, potassium is placed above sodium.
In the reactivity series metals are arranged in decreasing order of their reactivity.
the first metal in reactivity series is Potassium while below it, there is Sodium and so Potassium can replace Sodium from it's salt solution.
this proves that sodium is less reactive than potassium.

Apurav11: sorry you are right yena but i have asked the reason why potassium is placed above sodium or why potassium is more reactive then sodium
Anonymous: the properties present in potassium make it more reactive than sodium.
Apurav11: okk
Apurav11: the is the ionisation enthaply of both elements

Answer:

sodium less reactive than potassium

Explanation:

sodium less reactive than potassium because the size of sodium is less than that of potassium hence it can hold the electrons more tightly and the ability to lose electrons decreases and potassium has bigger size as it is down the group with relation to sodium because of which nucleus will have less control on the electrons
