As we move high up the altitude, the atmospheric pressure goes on decreasing. Our blood also exerts pressure on the walls of the blood vessels through which it flows, which is commonly known as the blood pressure. At sea level, both these pressures balance each other. But at high altitudes, due to a reduction in atmospheric pressure, the pressure of the blood becomes more thereby causing a rupturing of the blood vessels lining the nasal passage. This is what leads to bleeding. As far as shortness of breath is concerned, it may be due to the low oxygen content in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

this is because at high elevation or we can say at high altitude the atmospheric pressure is much lesser that our blood pressure so some of the blood capillary burst and the blood comes out through nose and some experience shortness of breadth bcz at high altitude there is not much oxygen
