Vacuum is an area without any, like space . So sound cannot travel through vacuum because there is no matter for the vibrations to work in..

Hope it works!

______________________________

✔Sound is a mechanical energy which can be produced only due to the vibration produced in the material body.

✔The mechanical waves need some material medium for propagation.

✔As vacuum has no material medium therefore sound energy cannot propagate.
