(a) The Jews remained the worst sufferers in Nazi Germany. The Nazis' hatred of Jews had a precursor in the traditional Christian hostility towards the Jews. They had been stereotyped as killers of Christ and usurers. Until Medieval times, the Jews were barred from owning land. They survived mainly through trade and money lending. They lived in separately marked areas called the ghettos. They were often persecuted.

(b) The Nazis started using theories of Darwin and Herbert Spencer to propagate against the Jews. People started justifying their hatred for Jews as they were considered an inferior race and had no right to survive according to these two theories.

(c) The Nazis started their propaganda from the school level. All Jewish teachers were dismissed from schools. School textbooks were re-written to justify the Nazi ideas of race.

(d) Motherhood was also used by the Nazis to propagate against the Jews. All the girls had to maintain the purity of the race. Mothers were supposed to teach their children Nazi values. There was a code of conduct for all the women. Those who maintained contact with Jews were punished.

(e) The Nazi regime used language and media with care to propagate against the Jews. The Nazi ideas were spread through visual images, films, radio, movies, etc. The Jews were shown as rats and pests.

(f) Various code words were used to eliminate Jews in order to protect the government from the world reactions. For example, mass killing was termed as special treatment.
