Explain why the particles of colloidal solution do not settle down when left undisturbed while in case of suspension they do

Answer:

Because the colloidal particles are very small and not heavy. it's particles always ramains in the state of zig zag motion it is also called Brownian movement. which counter the force of gravity acting on colloidal particles and helps in not settling down.
