Explain why the two sources of light must be of equal intensity to obtain well defined interference pattern.

Intensity is the Number of photons traveling through a area per second.. If intensity is different we will not observe black fringes..as the light with more intensity will shine brighter.

- For obtaining black fringes, two light waves must cancel each other.

- For this to occur, both waves should have same amplitude with opposing phase.
