As the distance from the centre decreases, the acceleration due togravity also decreases. At the centre the distance is zero, hencegravity is zero. The value of 'g' is 9.8.'g' is acceleration due togravity. At the centre of the earth it will turn zero because there will be no acceleration at the centre of the earth.

The resultant gravitational force on your body is hence zero, which in turns makes the acceleration due to gravity zero. ... The forces from the mass elements of the Earth all cancel — hence the net gravitational force is zero. It's not completely zero, because the Earth is an oblate spheroid.
