Explain why the value of g is zero at the centre of the earth

Because at the center of the earth there is no mass to attract the substance.

The value of g is maximum at the surface of the earth and as we move downward from the surface of earth then the distance from the center of the earth reduces and thus the value of g gets reduces and becomes 0
