At the centre the distance is zero, hence gravity is zero. The value of 'g' is 9.8.'g' is acceleration due togravity.At the centre of the earth it will turn zerobecause there will be no acceleration at the centre of the earth.

the value of g is higher at the poles as compared to the centre of the earth and hence the value of g is zero at the centre of the earth
