Answer:

During the change in matter some energy is always lost or gained in the form of heat.For eg- during change of water to ice energy is released in the form heat.Therefore energy change takes place. In case of chemical reaction all the energy is conserved i.e law of conservation of energy.But during nuclear fission or fusion which are chemical changes, energy change occur due to the loss of mass.
