Explain why there is no rise in temperature of a substance when it undergoes a change of state though it is
being continuously heated.​

Answer:

There is no rise of temperature because the heat provided is utilized in increasing the potential energy between the molecules i.e. increasing the interspacing between the molecules. Every substance requires some amount of "extra" or better say "hidden heat" to change its state.

Because at that time the substance is taking latent heat to change its state .
