Answer:

Explanation:

There are 7 fundamental quantities.

Time is one of them.

Fundamental quantities are those quantities which are not depend on any other quantities .

So time is fundamental quantity.

Speed is a change in distance in given time hence it inversaly depend on time so it is derived quantity.

Answer:

Explanation:

Time is a fundamental quantity as it does not depend on any other quantity and by using it we can find almost all the other derived quantities .

And as far as speed is concerned, it is a derived quantity as it is derived by using the other 2 fundamental quantities that are length and time .

Speed = Distance / Time

I would like to add that these are only fundamental quantities in the unit system chosen. One can easily choose natural units and have energy as the only unit, and mass, length, and time, and everything else is expressed in terms of Energy.

Hope it helps!
