Sexual reproduction is a process in which parents are involved and their gametes fuse together to form zygote which is a precursor of new organism.

Explanation:

  • The sexual reproduction involves the segregation of the chromosomes that involves the gamete development process from the parent gametes.
  • Thus this segregation process allows the passage of trait from both the parents instead of one this process leads to some variations in the characters. Thus the offspring is not exactly identical to parents but looks different.
