Dear, Villi are finger like projections present all along the small intestine wall internally and increases the surface area like pseudopodia do in amoeba for absorption of various food materials, ions, water etc and to absorb all these things it is richly supplied with blood vessels mainly the capillaries which absorb the food by the method of simple diffusion, facilitated diffusion and active transport according to the materials absorbed. so for this purpose villi richly supplied with blood vessels.
