Incomplete combustion of coal gives carbon monoxide gas. It is a very poisonous gas. It is dangerous to burn coal in a closed room. The carbon monoxide gas produced can kill persons sleeping in that room. So we should not sleep in a closed room with burning coal fire in it.

Heya
In a closed room, the availability of oxygen is limited.
For burning, coal uses up the oxygen present in the room, making the availability of oxygen negligible.
On the other hand, limited supply if oxygen leads to incomplete combustion and gives out carbon monoxide and other harmful gases.
These gases are harmful and may even lead to death.
Hence we are advised not to sleep or stay in a closed room with coal burning inside
Hope it helps! ^_^
