Answer:

Because of absence of chlorophyll.

Explanation:

Any plant can make food by photosynthesis. In photosynthesis plant make food with water, CO2 (carbon dioxide) and some minerals in the presence of chlorophyll and sunlight. The product after the process is Carbohydrates and oxygen. They absorb CO2 from atmosphere and water and minerals from soil. Chlorophyll is one of the most founded component in their cell. I meant they have chlorophyll inside them.

But in Human's (our) case, We can absorb minerals and water by our food. We can also absorb Sunlight. But two main factors are we can't use CO2 because our body cannot resist it. We can only use Oxygen in our cell. Even if we prepare our body for the use of carbon dioxide, there is a reason that stops us - Chlorophyll. Our cell (or any animal cell) don't have any chlorophyll.

So we can't make food ourselves by photosynthesis.

Hope it helps.
