Explain why we cannot see our surroundings clearly we we enter a dark cinema hall from sunshine but our vision improved after some time

We are not able to see our surroundings clearly because when we are out side our pupils become smaller because there is more amount light which we want . And when we come in Cinema Hall there is darken so our pupils become bigger and managed to enter saficiant amount of light ,it take some time so after entering our vision improve after some time.
