explain why we cannot see our surroundings scaly when we enter a darkened cinema hall from bright sunshine but our vision improved after sometime

This because when we are in bright light our pupil( the black dot in our eye) contracts to cut down the incoming light but when we enter a cinema hall our eye can't change the condition fastly. It gradually expands the pupil to maximize the incoming of light!!!

Due to cone cells present in our eyes they take a little time to adjust the power they apply to see in a dark room
