This because when we are in bright light our pupil( the black dot in our eye) contracts to cut down the incoming light but when we enter a cinema hall our eye can't change the condition fastly. It gradually expands the pupil to maximize the incoming of light!!!

Due to cone cells present in our eyes they take a little time to adjust the power they apply to see in a dark room
