Explain why, when the sun is overhead at noon, it appears white, but when the same sun is near the horizon at sunset, it appears red.

when sun is overhead at noon the sun rays direct inter our eyes so sun rays vive real and at evening time sun have down to to our Earth so the red cause of reflection of light

during sunrise and sunset the sun is near the horizon and it is at farthest position.

here most of blue light will scattered off by particle and the light that reaches our eye is red

whereas when the sun is above our head it is at least position and it had to travel relative shorter distance.erefore the amount of atmospheric refraction become low and we see the light as it is emitted
