explain why white light is dispersed when passing through a prism

I don't no properly I am in 11th now but it was in 10th for us that the dispersion of light through the prism like if u pass the white light to the triangle like prism then there will be reflection over their after that the 7colours will be given out that is vibgyor and red will be diviated more..

Anonymous: and the raindrops u will see na.. observe clearly in raindrops that if thier is presence of sunlight opposite to that rain drop then rain drop is assumed as a prism then from that prism white light is nothing but sunlight passes through that prism then their will be dispersion of light
