  • It's best to avoid eating or drinking after you brush at night, as the toothpaste will cover your teeth with a thin layer of fluoride, which will help strengthen your teeth while you sleep.
  • Remember to floss daily to remove food and plaque bacteria from in between your teeth, where your toothbrush can't reach.

Answer:

It's good that you maintain oral hygiene by brushing twice daily. After brushing at night, you should not eat or drink anything (except water). For this reason, it is said " Brushing before you go to bed. If you want to have something, you can have it before brushing.

Anything you eat/ drink would have the sugary content, carbohydrates. Remnants of any of the food or sugary products in the oral cavity, would lead to their decomposition by bacteria, bacterial growth and as a result may cause plaque and dental caries
