The British came in India for doing trade but the exploited the region from which it traded
That's why the local kings often dismissed them and didn't allowed them to have trade
But by the time the British had captured Bengal they had learned that if they wanted to trade in India they will have to conquer other Indian kingdoms
So they repeatedly demanded new treaties with the rulers of trucial states
